HOMESTAY

As a west coast boarding school, Oaks Christian Homestay offers something unique – it allows international students to live with an American family for full cultural immersion. We believe that international students living with American families creates a unique educational environment and provides social and emotional support.

Students in the Homestay program are fully-integrated into the OCS community and can participate in all athletic, academic, artistic and student-life activities and events open to OCS students.

Host families are carefully chosen by Oaks Christian School after a background and reference check as well as personal interviews. We believe the American culture, and as Oaks Christian is a west coast boarding school, that students get more when supported by a local family learning about local culture and the nearby community.  Orientation and ongoing support is provided for both host families and international students.

Recent international students have attended Oaks Christian from Australia, Korea, Italy, Mexico, China, Ghana, Germany, Russia, Portugal and Brazil.
